Competition Cheer Try-outs Sept. 10th

Spring Athletes Shine in the Classroom

Well once again Islander Athletes prove that they are tops both competing on the playing field and in the classroom. Each season CIF has all school submit the average unweighted GPA of their teams for that grading period.  The school with the top average GPA is named the All Academic team for that region- Coronado

Alysah Hickey Wins State Long Jump

Junior Alysah Hickey won the long jump at the State CIF with a leap of 19’ 9.75” Almost simultaneously Alysah was competing in the high jump where she placed 4th overall with a jump of 5’8″ Also competing at the state meet were teammates Ruthie Grant Williams and Ian Hurlburt. Baseball Wins Division III Title

Baseball beat Imperial 7 to 3 in the CIF title game.  Nick K went 5 for 5 at the plate, Raden P got the victory on the mound, John T got the save and Heath M made some spectacular plays as 2nd base to get the Islanders out a some tough situations.  Great job Coach

Volleyball All-star
