Austin Dozier: Rugby is where Austin finally found is his true calling having started off his High School career playing waterpolo. But whether in the pool or on the field Austin displayed true sportsmanship at all time. His Rugby coach stated that he was instrumental in not only helping with the boys program but also in getting the girls’ program off the ground this past winter. Austin has always been known to give his best and to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Congratulations Austin
Trudie Nixon: Trudie shined on the soccer and softball fields. She was All-League in Softball every year and was recently named the player of the year to cap off her softball career at CHS. In both soccer and softball her coaches commented on her great sportsmanship she never let her emotions get the better of her. As Captain of her softball team the last two years her coach commented on how she was everyone’s go to gal always ready to lend a helping hand and to rally her team. Softball coach, Tony Isabella, also noted that she always was ready to reach out and help anyone whether it was one of her teammates or an opposing player. Congratulations Trudie!
Easton Gormican: Easton has been the man in the goal for our Men’s Lacrosse team these past four years. Easton was recently named All-CIF for his efforts and is considered one of the best goalies in the county. But is is commitment to the team that Coach Alex Cade says is his best qualities. He worked hard and showed great leadership year round. It is a testament to Easton’s character that his teammates elected him one of their captains the last two years. Additionally Easton has been helping coach youth teams instilling in youth as young as Kindergarten the Islander Way. Congratulations Easton
