Islanders News · ISF welcomes Meredith Hinz as the new AD at CMS

The Islander Sports Foundation would like to introduce Meredith Hinz, the new Athletic Director and the Coronado Middle School.

Meredith Hinz is a Coronado resident who is originally from East Hampton, New York. She attended Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts and received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology. Prior to graduation, Meredith worked in the U.S. Naval Academy in the Physical Education Department teaching classes, conducting nutritional counseling, and performing exercise testing for various competitive teams.

Meredith competed in sports starting in Middle School and continuing through her academic career in various sports including Field Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Field.   She was inducted into her high schools Athletic Hall of Fame for the 1989 field hockey team which was the first female team of her school to progress to the State Championships.

Professionally, Meredith worked in the fitness industry for many years managing fitness facilities both on the commercial and clinical arenas and as a personal trainer.

Meredith resides in Coronado with her husband and two children. Both girls have been active participants in the Islander Sports Foundation athletics in Middle School, and also compete at the club level.
